About
A job board built for one stubborn trade.
Door Industry Jobs exists because every industry survey for the door trade says the same thing: technicians are the number one constraint, with an estimated 8,000 to 12,000 open positions nationwide. Meanwhile the people hiring get billed per click by general job boards, or pay staffing agencies 15 to 25 percent of first year pay.
This board is the flat fee alternative. Job seekers browse and apply free, always. Employers pay one time for placement, never per click. Listings come from employer career pages and company applicant tracking systems, and a human reviews every post before it goes live.
It is an independent project, run by one person, with no staffing agency attached and no incentive to inflate applicant counts. If a listing looks wrong, it comes down. If you want a refund, you get one. That is the whole policy.
Want the short version of how the trade got here? Roughly 15,000 independent operators, 90 percent of them under $10 million in revenue, in an industry replacing technicians at a cost of $9,000 to $18,000 per departure. This board is a small piece of infrastructure aimed at that gap.
